Our Ethics...

We are a nature-centred ecocentric school.

Our relationship with nature is one of regeneration and healing. We endeavour to walk lightly on the Earth, learning to embody nature's generosity, listening to the rest of nature, and remembering our own authentic natures.

The ecological role of humans is not to strip and pillage and rape the rest of the natural world but to caretake, sing to it, listen to it and dream a vision of regeneration and healing, of becoming a healthy member of the natural community of the council of species on the planet.

Good ethical practice is key to our enterprise; we expect students and staff to conduct themselves respectfully and ethically.

We embrace diversity and practice inclusion at our school.

We do not advocate or teach about psychedelic plants.

A statement on our inclusivity policies

At the plant medicine school, we are all passionate about inclusivity.

We do not tolerate discrimination against people as regards race, culture, religion, gender or sexual identity, class, neurodiversity, age, academic achievement/ abilities, disability and other marginalised identities.

Whenever an issue is flagged, we seek solutions and consistently work to improve the accessibility and inclusivity of our courses.

We continue educating ourselves about the needs and accommodations for the many marginalised groups in our society, and we offer plant-centred, grassroots, honest, and ordinary education and facilitation.

We are changing all our text to dyslexic-friendly layouts and fonts, providing sound files or a read link for written materials, and allowing assignments to be submitted as voice files.

We offer several bursaries yearly to people who would otherwise be unable to attend our courses.

We accommodate all dietary restrictions.

We can provide private spaces for breastfeeding or prayer and meditation upon request. Breastfeeding in the class space is also entirely ok.

Where possible, we are working towards full accessibility.

We provide comfortable seating and frequent breaks for movement and time outside/in the fresh air.

The learning takes place in a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces.

Don't hesitate to contact the local schools for further accessibility information.
