Website Accessibility and Design Philosophy

We have designed this website with accessibility in mind. We use a large, easily read font, keep layouts simple, and keep the text at a recommended width and readable. We use shades of pink, which is generally considered a soothing and calming colour, and restful pastel shades. We don’t use movement to animate our content upon loading, as user feedback indicates this is distracting and, in some cases, disorientating.

We use a roll-back menu bar so that it reappears when you scroll back up the page.

On many pages, we have a linked Table of Contents to jump to the section you want, a Dark/Light toggle button on the bottom left, and a return to top button on the bottom right of each page. We use a category and tag filter on our collections so you can find exactly what you want. We focus on making the information you may be looking for easy to find in short form, with links to read more detailed descriptions.
